The Roadtrip

Naomi Racture is your typical Goblin. She runs a little tea shop at night, loves gyros, and solves problems during the day as the only Witch living in her city. Society has claimed to move past the need for magic. We have the internet, why would we need a witch? Naomi proves there's still reason for to seek her help, as she solves mysteries, both mundane, and magical! Today, her mystery to solve gets a bit more serious. With the help of her Orc Girl Crush, the two of them have to go on a roadtrip to find a runaway teen who's been dabbling in some dark magic!

"The Roadtrip" is the second short story in the Goblin Witch short story series. The first released in 2020, and I had plans to release this one much sooner, but it's been... a very hard few years for writing, we'll say. I've also been sitting on it for a while, unsure if I wanted to release it due to its heavier subject matter, but I'm still proud of the final product, and I hope you enjoy it!

Content warning for disaffected trans teens and police violence backstory. I tried to handle it as tastefully as possible. I hope I succeeded.

(Size is 20k words, almost 2x the length of the previous short story... so not even really a short story anymore. It's basically a novella.)
